Call for Proposals: Removing Human Rights Related Barriers in Botswana

EC announces a Call for Proposals to support Persons with Disabilities (PwDs)

Deadline: 15-Jan-24

The Botswana Network on Ethics, Law and HIV/AIDS (BONELA) is seeking applications to promote a human rights approach to HIV/AIDS, TB, and broader health issues in Botswana through awareness raising, capacity building, advocacy, strategic litigation, onward granting, service delivery, linkage to care, and assembling of a critical mass of human rights defenders.

BONELA’s vision is, ‘Making the right to health a reality in Botswana’, and their mission is, ‘To ensure protection, promotion and fulfilment of the right to health in Botswana’.

The organisation has implemented varying projects across all 27 health districts in Botswana, and since inception, part of BONELA’s unique contribution has been a focus on the human right, health, and capacity building of vulnerable and marginalised communities. BONELA’s work is guided by community needs as identified through community engagements and community led monitoring of human rights to promote the alignment of the Botswana human rights landscape to national, regional, and international instruments.
