Call for Proposals to increase the Participation of Minorities in Democratic Process (Poland)

Call for Nominations: Kofi Annan NextGen Democracy Prize

Deadline: 15-May-23

The Engaging Central Europe (ECE) program run by The German Marshall Fund of the United States is launching a special call for proposals for funding to support civil society organizations in Poland that work for equality and to strengthen the participation of minorities and discriminated people in public debate and democratic processes.

While all citizens should enjoy equal rights and opportunities, regardless of their gender identity and expression, sexual identity, racial or ethnic origin and any disability, many people belonging to minorities still face social exclusion. Social and political tensions often exclude these people from making political decisions, which directly affects their lives and the situation of entire communities.
