Call for Proposals to promote Gender Equality

Within the framework of this call for proposals, UN Women will recruit one NGO appointed as lead party per country (Benin, Guinea, Chad and Togo) to implement the Muskoka project entitled support for the promotion of gender equality to improve sexual, reproductive, maternal, neonatal, infantile and adolescent health and nutrition.

The selection of partners in countries without a UN Women office is part of the execution of component 1 of the MUSKOKA joint program “Support to target countries to improve sexual, reproductive, maternal, neonatal, child and adolescent health and nutrition via a transversal approach to strengthening health systems”. As part of this project, UN Women’s mandate is to mobilize political decision-makers, CSOs, communities and opinion leaders to promote advocacy for a legal and budgetary environment supporting the promotion of women’s rights and their empowerment., gender equality and protection against violence against women. A gender approach in favor of the fight against discriminatory social practices and gender-based violence (GBV) will be adopted and particular emphasis will be placed on the sexual and reproductive health (SRH) of young girls, through the approach rights and strengthening their access to information, care and psychosocial support for survivors.
