The Development Academy of the Philippines Graduate School of Public and Development Management (DAP-GSPOM) is pleased to announce a call for research proposals aimed at exploring and shaping the futures of advancing the SDGs in the Philippines through development.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), adopted by the United Nations in 2015, represent a global agenda to address pressing social, economic, and environmental challenges. These 17 goals aim to create a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous world for all by 2030. Achieving the SDGs requires innovative research and evidence- based solutions.
Objectives
- The primary objective of this call for research proposals is to stimulate and support research that contributes to the attainment of the 17 global/national SDGs.
- They seek innovative, interdisciplinary, and forward-looking research using strategic foresight, particularly scenario development. They aim to support projects that not only identify emerging trends but also offer actionable recommendations that can inform policy and practice, drive positive change, and foster sustainable development.
Funding Information
- Selected proposals will receive research grants based on the scope and scale of the research.
Eligibility Criteria
- Researchers, scholars, and experts from universities, research institutions, and civil society are eligible to apply.
- Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged.
- Collaborative projects involving multiple institutions and stakeholders are encouraged.
Evaluation Criteria
- Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- relevance and potential impact on advancing the SDGS in the Philippines, innovativeness and interdisciplinarity of the research approach, feasibility and appropriateness of the methodology.
