Call for Proposals 2017-2018: Canada Fund for Local Initiatives in Argentina and Paraguay

United Kingdom: The Bradford Fund Microgrants

Deadline: 5 June 2017

The Embassy of Canada in Argentina and Paraguay has launched a call for proposals for Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) 2017-2018.

The CFLI, now under the stewardship of Global Affairs Canada (GAC), is a program that supports small projects proposed and implemented by local NGOs and other grassroots organizations, cooperatives and women’s groups.

Funding Information

The average contribution is expected to be in the range of CAD $10,000-$20,000 per project.

Priorities and Criteria

The submitted CFLI proposals must address identified needs of local communities in Argentina or Paraguay and fall within one or more of the 2017-2018 CFLI priorities for the Embassy listed below.

The majority of CFLI funding is directed toward local civil society organizations (including non-governmental organizations) and other institutions working at the local level. Other entities can be eligible for a contribution, provided that they are working with local partners and on local projects that are consistent with the objectives of the CFLI. The Government of Canada is strongly committed to supporting gender equality and empowerment of women and girls; thus, these considerations should be taken into account under each priority.
