The Climate Action Network Australia is currently accepting applications for round 13 of the CANA Small Grants Program to provide funding to projects that enable diverse communities to lead on, participate in and speak for action on climate change.
The Small Grants Program builds the capacity of the Australian Climate Movement to win on climate action. The program prioritises organisations and projects with a climate justice approach to their work.
The program recognises the leadership and agency of First Nations and Pasifika climate custodians and their crucial work on climate justice. This round has two pools of funds dedicated to supporting First Nations and Pasifika climate projects.
Funding Information
- Individual grant amounts range from $500 – $10,000. In your application you will be asked how much money you are seeking from this grant. The number of grants awarded each round differs.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open grant:
- Have an annual revenue below $1 million
- Be an Australian non-profit organisation operating within Australia
- Submit only one application per grant round
- First Nations grant:
- Have an annual revenue below $500,000
- Be a First Nations led organisation or project
- Be an Australian Non-profit organisation operating within Australia
- Submit only one application per grant round
- Pasifika grant:
- Have an annual revenue below $500,000
- Be a Pasifika led oganisation or project
- Be an Australian Non-profit organisation operating within Australia
- Submit only one application per grant round
- The program prioritises organisations and projects with a climate justice approach to their work.
