Canada: Automated External Defibrillator Grants

Deadline: Ongoing Opportunity

The District of North Vancouver is offering grant opportunities for automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for residents living in remote areas of the community.

To ensure everyone receives an immediate response to a medical emergency where defibrillation is required, we've established an annual fund of up to $3000 that community groups and ratepayers associations can access to purchase AED units.

Groups can apply for more than one device each year, depending on the availability of funding. Once the equipment is purchased and receipts are submitted, the District will reimburse the organization.

All AEDs must be licensed through BC Emergency Health Services, a Heart and Stroke Foundation program.
