Canada Council for the Arts is seeking applications for its “Professional Development for Arts Professionals” of Supporting Artistic Practice that supports the career growth of Canadian arts professionals by encouraging knowledge-sharing and participation in a wide range of development opportunities.
Grants fund activities that contribute to the advancement of Canadian arts professionals working in all artistic disciplines.
Individuals who are Deaf or who have disabilities, including those living with mental illness, and require accommodation at any stage of the application process may be eligible for additional assistance.
Funding Information
Grants Up to $10 000.
Program Activities
- Support for professional development activities or for sharing expertise with other Canadian arts professionals and artists, including but not limited to:
- mentorships
- internships
- specialized training
- taking or giving workshops
- research
- participation in conferences, seminars or other significant events
- Applicants can’t apply for activities that occur before their project start date, those that receive funding from another Canada Council program or those on the general list of ineligible activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Types of potential applicants to this component include:
- arts professionals
- cultural connectors and sector builders (Equity arts sector)
- Applicants eligibility to apply to this component is determined by the validated profile created in the portal.
