Canada’s Farmers Grow Communities is sponsored by the Bayer Fund to support local farming communities for strengthening rural communities by equipping local non-profit organizations with funds to carry out much-needed community work.
The aim is for farmers to help improve the lives of many people living in rural communities. The Bayer Fund, the philanthropic arm of Bayer, has expanded the Canada’s Farmers program to provide a total of 66 grants, each valued at $2,500, to charitable and not-for-profit groups nominated by farmers.
Canadian farmers have applied on behalf of agricultural societies, 4-H clubs, playgrounds, daycares and school projects, community sporting organizations, libraries and health/service groups.

Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible farmers must be the age of majority in the province they reside in and actively farm corn, soybeans and/or canola in one of the 33 territories identified within Canada.
