Pioneer Grants

Deadline: 4 October 2016

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), an agency of Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking applications from eligible organisations for a program entitled “Strengthening Care and Support Services for Highly Vulnerable Populations, Orphans and Vulnerable Children and their Families, plus HIV Prevention for Youth in the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire under PEPFAR”.

The program aims to build upon CDC’s previous HIV prevention, community care and treatment and OVC programs for CBOs. It will support the goal of the test and start policy by increasing HIV case identification; preventing new infections; and providing high quality prevention, care, and treatment services with the goal of decreasing incidence and reducing HIV associated morbidity and mortality in CL.

It will be achieved by strengthening CBOs’ capacities to increase HIV testing, increase referrals, provide minimum prevention package and increase program monitoring and accountability
