CDC: Continuing Enhanced National Surveillance for Prion Diseases in the United States

The Centers for Disease control and Prevention (CDC) is currently seeking proposals from the qualified institutions for its program titled “Continuing Enhanced National Surveillance for Prion Diseases in the United States”.

The availability of fiscal year (FY) 2017 funds for a cooperative agreement program will continue enhanced national surveillance for prion diseases in the United States.

The purpose of the funding is to continue an active surveillance program to monitor the occurrence of potentially emerging human TSEs in the United States.

The estimated total program funding will be $17,500,000.
