The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is currently seeking proposals from eligible organizations for its funding program titled “Determining and Monitoring Health Conditions Identified in the Medical Assessment of US-Bound Refugees”.

The purpose of this program is to conduct research on human infectious diseases with an emphasis on emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, neglected tropical diseases, tuberculosis, influenza, HIV/AIDS, zoonotic diseases, vector-borne and parasitic diseases, vaccine-prevented diseases and other conditions of public health importance including chronic diseases, mental health, environmental health, maternal and child health, public health preparedness, biosafety, and injury control and prevention.

Funds Available

The estimated total funding towards this program is $10,000,000, for the entire five years duration.
