The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking applications from eligible organisations for a program entitled “Maintenance of Influenza Surveillance Capacity by National Health Authorities Outside the United States” with an aim to support existing routine influenza surveillance systems and support the maintenance of the capacity to detect, monitor, respond and mitigate transmission of influenza viruses.

It will also enable national institutes to maintain their World Health Organization (WHO) National Influenza Center NIC) laboratory and to fully participate in the WHO Global Influenza Surveillance and Response Systems (GISRS) by  sharing specimens and clinical and epidemiologic data on disease related to the circulation of influenza.

Funding Information: The approximate total fiscal year funding is $4,000,000.

Eligibility is limited to the Ministries of Health or their bona fide agents in countries mentioned below.
