In anticipation of the 250th anniversary of American Independence in 2026, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) is pleased to announce a special grant opportunity to honor the contributions to American history of the individuals who will be featured in the National Garden of American Heroes.
Funding Information
- Applicants may request $25,000. No cost-share is required.
Duration
- NEA support of a project (i.e., “Earliest Start Date”) can begin no sooner than October 1, 2025, and generally may cover a period of up to 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- The following are eligible to apply:
- Nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3), U.S. organizations;
- Units of state or local government; or
- Federally recognized tribal communities or tribes.
- To be eligible, the applicant organization also must:
- Meet the NEA’s Legal Requirements including non-profit, tax-exempt status at the time of application.
- Be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM), have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI).
- Have submitted acceptable Final Report packages by the due date(s) for allNEA award(s) previously received.
