Centers for Disease Control Immunization Grants-CDC Partnership: Strengthening Public Health

Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is currently inviting applications for its Immunization Grants-CDC Partnership with an aim to improve the effectiveness, capabilities and sustainability of public health laboratories (PHLs) individually and as components of a national PHL system.

The purpose of this cooperative agreement aims to promote quality and safe PHL practice; improve PHL infrastructure; strengthen the PHL system and develop a well-trained PHL workforce.  Activities conducted through this cooperative agreement will use science-based knowledge to identify best practices that will improve PHL effectiveness, capabilities and sustainability.  Public Health laboratories will become a much stronger component of the public health and healthcare systems as a result of the activities under taken in this cooperative agreement.
