The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV) is seeking applications for the Women’s Giving Circle Grant Program to develop initiatives, focuses on prevention and effective intervention, supports new ideas and untested efforts as well as programs that have demonstrated results and impact, and establishes expectations for sustainability, significant value and lasting impact.
The Women’s Giving Circle makes strategic, researched-based grants that facilitates systemic change to improve how women and girls are served in its community, applies creative solutions to critical needs, and produces lasting and measurable impact on the lives of women and girls.
Organizations must address the following needs of women in their community:
- Increasing life skills of women and girls, ie: Pre-K through 12 Education, Economic Empowerment, Physical and Mental Health, Violence and Crime
- Encouraging the healthy development and personal authority of young girls
- Raising awareness of gender disparities in their community

In its grantmaking history, the Women’s Giving Circle has awarded over $400,000 to projects supporting women and girls.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant organization must be a non-profit tax-exempt organization pursuant to IRS section 501(c)(3)
- The Women’s Giving Circle, a component fund of the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley, welcomes grant applications for organizations in Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, Ohio, Tyler and Wetzel Counties in West Virginia and Belmont and Jefferson Counties in Ohio.
