Deadline: 2-Jun-25

The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has launched the call for proposals for the Engagement of NGO for Conducting Community Consultations among population in remote areas to promote adherence to MoH recommended visits to gynecologists during pregnancy.

UNICEF jointly with UNFPA and WHO as UN Implementing partners under the Vision 2030 Fund is supporting the Government of Uzbekistan in further strengthening primary healthcare and enhancing reproductive, maternal, neonatal, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH) services.

Within this collaboration, 227 perinatal centers will be equipped with maternal and neonatal care equipment, devices, and strengthened skills and knowledge to build the capacity of healthcare providers to improve services and contribute to reducing maternal and neonatal deaths in the country by timely addressing health issues of pregnant women and infants. An integral part of this project is related to social and behaviour change (SBC) interventions among the target population that are focused on the promotion of adherence to the MoH-recommended visits to gynecologists during pregnancy.

One of the building blocks of SBC interventions within this project is the organization of community consultations with the engagement of subject experts and target groups primarily focusing on remote areas.

The consultations are believed to serve as a platform for the population to raise their concerns and questions related to antenatal care services, and for the service providers to better understand barriers faced by the targeted population in getting inclusive, quality medical care during pregnancy.
