CFPs: Veterans Treatment Court Discretionary Grant Program (US)

Deadline: 17-Apr-25

The Bureau of Justice Assistance is seeking proposals for the Veterans Treatment Court Discretionary Grant Program to assist states, state courts, local courts, units of local government, and federally recognized Indian tribal governments to plan, implement, and enhance the operations of veteran’s treatment courts (VTC) including service coordination, fidelity to the VTC model, and recovery support services.

The focus of the VTC Discretionary Grant Program is to reduce the use of opioids, stimulants, and other substances, including alcohol, by high-risk/highneed veterans involved in the criminal justice system. Recognizing the significant increase and public health impact of overdose deaths, BJA also encourages a focus on treating SUDs and MHDs with access to evidence-based practices, including but not limited to medications for opioid use disorder (OUD), to prevent overdose and overdose deaths.
