Deadline: 30-Jun-22
The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) is offering grants to Deliver trainings to increase integrated GHG, short-lived climate pollutant (SLCP), and air pollutant mitigation action in Maldives.
The aim of this project is to support the Maldives’ Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology in building the required capacity for more thorough reporting to the UNFCCC and to ensure evidence-based decisions are made at the policy level. This will build on previous CCAC projects.
Funding Information
Estimated project cost: US$ 40,000 – 50,000.
Minimum Required Outputs
The project should deliver at a minimum:
- Training workshops on modeling software for short-lived climate pollutant (SLCP) analysis (eg LEAP) and on the development of greenhouse gas emission and mitigation assessments. This will increase the number of trained staff able to report to UNFCCC, coordinate across agencies, identify solutions for SLCP mitigation, and provide a framework for investments into such solutions.
- Applicants are encouraged to propose additional outputs as needed to ensure the expected project outcomes are achieved.
Expected Outcome
The Maldives’ government has increased capacity for SLCP action and an increased number of staff performing SLCP analysis.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for consideration, project proposals must meet the following requirements:
- Are complete and submitted before the deadline
- Are submitted by a non-governmental organization (NGO), intergovernmental organization (IGO), or other not-for-profit entity
- Requested funding falls within the indicated cost range and the project duration is less than 24 months
