Deadline: 22-Feb-22
The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Mission to Pakistan is pleased to announce an open competition for three (3) related grant proposals, contingent on funding availability, through the Public Diplomacy Grants Program.
Under this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), PAS seeks proposals to establish partnerships between U.S. and Pakistani universities, and organizations to build Pakistani capacity to adapt to and mitigate climate change. The partnerships will facilitate curriculum development, collaborative research, virtual exchanges, sharing of resources, professional development, and exchanges.
Project Goals: Build the capacity of Pakistani society to combat and mitigate climate change through curriculum development, environmental education, student and faculty engagement, research and data sharing, and sustainable urban and public policy planning.
Project Audience(s): Beneficiaries and audiences should be appropriate to the proposed projects and may include a cross-section of society. Projects can be nationwide or focused on specific geographic areas with an explanation of why the specific geographic region is relevant to the goals of the projects.
Project Objectives: PAS Islamabad envisions awarding three projects under this NOFO. All three projects should raise awareness of the climate crisis among broad audiences and civil society stakeholders, promote greening and sustainability practices in diverse areas of Pakistan, and design and promote environmental education. Each proposal will require its own application. The descriptions below specify the issues that will be considered for each individual project.
