The City of Stirling is now inviting applications for its Community Arts and Events Fund to support a variety of creative arts, events, and cultural projects which contribute to a vibrant, active and connected City, providing opportunities for communities to celebrate the unique lifestyle and places.
The Community Arts and Events Fund is managed by the City’s Arts and Events team and enables the City to provide support and financial assistance to community groups and not-for-profit organisations in the areas of arts and events; helping to create thriving local communities; prosperous and vibrant communities, and supporting a sustainable natural environment.

Large Events and Arts Projects
- Large scale festivals, events, or series of events/projects which attract significant attendance/participation and visitors to the City.
- Events and art projects of significant cultural or strategic importance.

Medium Events and Arts Projects
- Medium scale events/projects that appeal to a wide cross section of the local community.

Small Events and Arts Projects
- Public and community arts projects such as murals, exhibitions and workshops.
- Small events such as as special celebrations, anniversaries or similar with a limited target audience.
Funding Information
- Large Events and Arts Projects: up to $50,000 total package
- Medium Events and Arts Projects: up to $25,000 total package
- Small Events and Arts Projects: up to $10,000 total package

Large Events and Arts Projects
- Broad appeal with diverse target community
- Reach – attendance/participation 10,000 +
- Strongly aligns with three or more focus areas
- Strong community support and demonstrated engagement with other organisations/artists/creative professionals/businesses/community, with evidence of support provided
- Quality/professional offering and coordination
- Element of trust with City (good working relationship demonstrated either though previous projects or referee from other Local Government's)
- Deliver longer term social and economic benefit to the community (ie through engagement with local business and community, visitor spend)

Medium Events and Arts Projects
- Broad appeal to wide cross section of the community
- Reach – attendance/participation 1,000 – 10,000
- Strongly aligns with two or more focus areas
- Good community support and demonstrated engagement with other organizations / artists /businesses/community, with evidence of support provided.

Small Events and Arts Projects
- Limited target community
- Reach – attendance/participation under 1,000 people
- Strongly aligns with one or more focus areas
- Good community support and demonstrated engagement with other organisations/artists/businesses/community, with evidence of support provided
- One -off funding
What else do I need to know?
- Applicants can receive a maximum of one (1) CAEF grant per financial year
- For fundraising activities, the fundraising component should not be the main reason for the event, there should be clear cultural benefit for the community, as outlined in the focus areas.
- The Community Arts and Events Fund has a limited budget; once all funds have been distributed no further allocations will be made during the same financial year (unless further funding is made available through the City's budget review process).
- Events and projects should be held within the City of Stirling and be open for the City of Stirling community to attend, engage with or participate in;
- Applicants will need to show evidence of public liability insurance covering the proposed activity;
- Events will need to comply with the City of Stirling's Event Application process, local laws and any other legislation relating to events. This process is separate from the grant application process.
