The Community Foundation of the Kootenay Rockies (CFKR) invites eligible community organizations (i.e., qualified donees, or non-profits partnering with a qualified donee) to apply for CFKR’s 2021 Grant Program.
The Community Foundation of the Kootenay Rockies (CFKR) was established in 2003 and provided its first community grant, in 2004. CFKR is governed by a local volunteer Board.
Focus Areas
It takes a broad and inclusive view of what a community is, providing grants to the widest possible range of organizations and initiatives, including the following areas of interest:
- Animal Welfare
- Arts, Culture, and Heritage
- Education
- Environment
- Mental Health and Addictions
- Outdoor Recreation, Physical Activity, and Sports
- Programs for Seniors
- Social and Health Services
Funding Information
Eligible applications will include projects that directly benefit the local community and can effectively utilize a grant ranging from a few hundred dollars up to $1,500.
Guidelines
To be eligible to apply, an organization must be a CRA qualified donee, such as a registered charity, or, if the organization is not a qualified donee, enter into an agreement with a qualified donee. Grant applications need to clearly demonstrate a direct, positive benefit to local residents.
