The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Foundation (OFBF) for Agriculture is pleased to announce the availability of funds to help fight hunger in the form of a competitive grant process for FFA Chapters and 4-H Clubs across the state.
The Community Harvest Grants are provided through funding from generous donors to the OKFB Foundation for Agriculture.

Chapters and Clubs may apply for up to $1,000 to support a yearlong service-learning project focused on:
- Developing and implementing sustainable food production programs that address hunger in your community and connects local residents with their food source.
- Service learning is a method of teaching and learning that challenges students to identify, research develop and implement solutions to needs in their school or community.
Project Ideas
- Developing a community garden to supplement fresh vegetables and fruits to the school or local food pantry.
- Raising laying hens to provide fresh eggs to help local families.
- Creating a school pantry or a mobile pantry in conjunction with their regional Food Bank to serve their community.
- Hosting a class for community members about how to can and preserve fresh foods, providing nutrition year-round.
Eligibility Criteria
- Initiate a sustainable program that occurs through the year.
- Include educational outreach to the community to aid in sustainability.
- Involve youth in the design and implementation of the service-learning project.
- Reach diverse audiences.
- Provide an end-of-year report on the project and the fiscal expenditures.
