The Region of Peel has announced the Community Hub Development Fund to support community agencies to conduct feasibility studies and develop strong community hub business plans, aligned to Peel’s Community Hub Development Standards.
Collaborative applications are strongly encouraged, especially where:
- The application reflects coordinated or integrated local planning
- The outcomes include co-location of services and an integrated service delivery model
Funding Information
- Applications from Peel community agencies for consultant services up to $30,000. The total annual budget for the Fund is $150,000.
Eligible Funding
Consultant expertise to support relevant feasibility studies based on the scope of the project, for example:
- Market demands analysis
- Resource analysis
- Site selection and appraisal
- Design analysis

Development of or enhancements to an existing business plan/hub including:
- Defined vision and service model

Eligibility Criteria
An agency must be:
- Be an organization physically located in Peel Region or primarily serving Peel residents.
- Be mandated to provide human and community services.
- Be incorporated as a not-for-profit organization (the organization requires registration as a charity under the Canada Income Tax Act).
- Be governed by a volunteer board of directors that is representative of the community it serves.
- Comply with the Ontario Human Rights Code in hiring practices and provision of all of its services.
- Provide proof of insurance coverage, including but not limited to commercial general liability insurance.
