The Mornington Peninsula Shire has announced the applications for Community Service Providers Grant.
Aims
This program is targeted at experienced and established service providers whose primary function is facilitating services and supports within the 5 identified priority areas, and demonstrate strong collaboration in the implementation and delivery of COVID-19 Recovery activities.
Funding Categories
- Employment- targeted activities can build the confidence and capacity of those that have lost their job due to COVID-19.
- Mental Health: targeted programs, events and campaigns that encourage help seeking for those experiencing COVID-19 mental health distress.
- Family Violence: targeted programs, activities and campaigns that focus on Family Violence prevention.
- Social Isolation and Loneliness: targeted programs, activities and campaigns that fosters social inclusion, health promotion, physical activity as well as access and equity.
- Youth Support: youth informed, developed, and led programs, activities and campaigns that promote youth engagement, positive wellbeing and community connection.
Funding Information
Amount: Maximum amount of $25,000 per application.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications are open to:
- Not-for-profit, incorporated community groups/organisations
- Registered charities, public benevolent institutions with DGR status
- Schools/Learning institutions – only where the project is not curriculum based or where the activity or benefit is not confined to the learning institution but is for the primary benefit of the wider community
- All projects, programs and activities nominated in the application must take place within the Mornington Peninsula Shire Local Government area.
- Only one application per organisation can be accepted to a maximum of 2 funding programs in a financial year.
- The applicant must have an adequate level of public liability insurance relevant to the project.
- The applicant must not be in debt to the Shire and must have acquitted all grants previously awarded by Council.
Criteria
Applications are required to meet the following criteria:
- Dedicated and confirmed capacity to work across the Mornington Peninsula Shire.
- Demonstrate strong experience working within the nominated priority area/s.
- Demonstrate experience in supporting marginalised population groups that have been further or additionally impacted by COVID-19 including LGBTIQ+, Women and Girls, CALD, Young People, Older People, People with a Disability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
- Able to provide examples of current and future projects within the nominated priority area/s that are delivered in partnership with the Shire.
- Identifying new projects or enhancements to existing programs or projects rather than established ones.
- The extent to which the grant will contribute to the wellbeing of the people of the Mornington Peninsula.
