The City of Sydney is currently accepting applications for the Community Services Grants (Covid-19 Recovery Grants).

This grant supports programs or projects that respond to ongoing community need including food security, digital inclusion, social isolation, tenancy support and homelessness services.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for funding an applicant must operate within the area or be able to demonstrate benefits for the residents, businesses, workers or visitors.

Assessment Criteria

Applications are assessed against the expected project outcomes, the types of activities supported and their overarching grantmaking principles and ethics.

The assessment panel will also consider the following:

  • Services or goods that support those most vulnerable in the community;
  • Opportunity, need or demand the goods or services;
  • Capabilities or skills to respond to the current economic and social situation (including the ability to maintain safe working environments);
  • Networks and professional experience relevant to the local area’s social services sectors;
  • Ability to be able to deliver within a short time frame to meet immediate community needs;
  • Alignment with the program’s funding priorities and outcomes.
