The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine invites everyone to participate in an innovative competition to find creative and innovative solutions to strengthen and develop the communities of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The EastCode 2021 National Competition for Innovative Solutions for the Communities of Eastern Ukraine is a call to action aimed at increasing research, new developments and projects in the field of technology. They offer space for innovators and change makers to present their ideas and projects and to have the opportunity to transform communities in eastern Ukraine into thriving modern communities.
EastCode 2021 is organized by UNDP, the Innovation Agency Center42 and the Happy Monday career development platform within the UN Peacebuilding and Reconstruction Program and in partnership with Donetsk and Luhansk Regional State Administrations with financial support from the governments of Denmark, Switzerland and Sweden.

Funding Information
The prize fund of the competition is 100,000 US dollars. Winners can receive up to $ 20,000 in grant support from UNDP to implement their ideas or rapid prototyping in specific communities, support in drawing up a grant application, mentoring from the organizers and valuable prizes from partners.
Eligibility Criteria
Developers, designers, marketers, activists, local government officials, businesses and anyone interested are invited to submit the idea of a new service or startup to address current issues of local development in eastern Ukraine.
