Creative New Zealand has launched a call for applications for the Toi Ake Fund.

The Toi Ake Fund is an initiative tailored to iwi, hapu, whakapapa-based ropu and matawaka to cultivate and retain heritage nga toi Maori (Maori arts) and foster their distinctive arts and cultural practices.

Outcomes

  • To receive funding from Creative New Zealand, your project must achieve one of the long term goals, which is called Strategic Outcomes.
  • They also want to support projects that achieve the outcomes of our two cultural strategies: Te Hā o ngā Toi – Māori Arts Strategy 2019-2024 and The Pacific Arts Strategy 2018 – 2023.
  • In addition, each funding programme has its own programme purposes and your project needs to achieve one of these purposes: Strategic outcomes, Arts Grants programme purposes, Te Hā o ngā Toi – Māori Arts Strategy 2019 – 2024, The Pacific Arts Strategy 2018 – 2023
