The Cultural Fund for Sweden and Finland is seeking applications for its Action Grants to support various activities like fund to increase contacts between Sweden and Finland and increase knowledge of the two countries.
The purpose of the Fund’s contribution is that it will promote a bilateral added value, i.e. the added value that an activity may by Swedish-Finnish dimension compared with the only have a national content / participation.
Priorities
Grants are awarded primarily to activities aimed at:
- conveying and developing countries’ cultural life
- increase interest in the Finnish language in Sweden and the Swedish language in Finland
- increase awareness of their common history and their subsequent community development
- highlight future challenges and opportunities for countries, industry, society and culture
Based on the above, the purpose of priority activities:
- develop the existing cooperation and find new areas / network / audience exchange between the two countries in the future
- carried / conveyed in locations in Sweden / Finland, where the knowledge / contacts with the countries are relatively small
- is innovative and has not been implemented in the past and that gives a new image and convey new knowledge, new scientific data on Sweden / Finland and the Swedish-Finnish relations
- are able to get long-term effects
- in public debate, interest is growing in Finland, Sweden and vice versa
Target Groups
- The starting point is that the activities that the Fund supports shall be open to all and turn to a broad audience.
- Activities involving young people engaged or targeted to young people given special priority. The same applies in cases where the applicant has a mediating role, such as for example, teachers and journalists.
Eligibility Criteria
- Action grants can be applied for by individuals, organizations, associations and institutions and others.
- As a rule not granted support to applications from municipalities, counties or state agencies.
- Applications should be sent to the Secretariat of the country where the applicant is living / working.
- If the applicant lives outside Sweden or Finland submitted applications to the Secretariat as the applicant chooses.
- For the same activity, only one application is submitted.
