Cultural Vistas Call for Applications: 2019 Public Participation Program in Environmental Protection

Are you passionate about environmental protection or in becoming more civically engaged? Do you have an idea of how to make a positive change in your community, but are in search of mentorship and financial assistance to make it happen? If yes, then apply for the Public Participation Program in Environmental Protection (PPPA) program!

Cultural Vistas and the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs are currently accepting applications for its 2019 Public Participation Program in Environmental Protection (PPPA) program.

The PPPA is a grant program funded by the U.S. Department of State that funds 4 projects in Chile, Colombia, and Peru. The PPPA project will increase civil society engagement in environmental protection, and promote public participation in environmental decision-making. The intended result of this will be increased environmental protection and greater enforcement of environmental laws in FTA (Free Trade Agreement) and TPA (Trade Partnership Agreement) countries.

Each project should focus on the amentáceo of the public conscience and the understanding of the environmental chapters of FTA, environmental laws, opportunities for public participation in environmental issues in each country.
