The USAID Promote: Women in the Economy Program is seeking grant applications to provide accredited Medical Vocational Technician Trainings to a group of selected females in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Promote: Women in the Economy (WIE) is a USAID-funded program that will partner with Afghan women to increase their participation in the economy by securing employment or advancing in their careers, and with women-owned businesses, or businesses that employ 10% or more women to grow their revenues.
Funding Information
The total amount of funding currently available for the RFA is AFN 10,200,000.00 per grant. DAI reserves the right to fund any or none of the applications submitted.
Eligibility Criteria
This RFA is issued as a public notice to ensure that all interested and qualified organizations have a fair opportunity to submit applications for funding. Eligibility requirements include the following:
- US non-governmental organizations supporting activities relevant workforce or private sector development activities;
- Local non-profit non-governmental organizations;
- Local profit-making organizations willing to forego profit;
- Academic or vocational schools, universities, or institutes (public or private);
- Private business service providers
- Community-based organizations (CBOs);
- Public or private career and employment services centers;
- Contain evidence of a significant cost share commitment.
