DFID: AAWAZ II Pakistan – Inclusion, Accountability and Reducing Modern Slavery

Call for Proposals: Combating Violence against Women and Girls in Morocco

Deadline: 4 June 2018

The UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) is currently inviting applicants for its AAWAZ II Pakistan – Inclusion, Accountability and Reducing Modern Slavery programme to work with government and local communities to promote the rights of children, women, youth, religious minorities and excluded groups to strengthen their control over their own development.

The programme has a particular focus on the issues of modern slavery, to which marginalised groups are extremely vulnerable. The programme aims to reach 7 million beneficiaries across the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. The existing programme (AAWAZ) has worked successfully with communities over the past 6 years, to increase the voice, choice and control of women, religious minorities and youth. To build on the significant change already achieved, they have designed a successor programme, AAWAZ II, which aims to deepen their impact in this area.
