Dedicated Grant Mechanism (DGM) Indonesia is inviting indigenous peoples, local communities, community-based organizations or agencies working with communities to support issues related to community-based tenure and management of natural resources to obtain funding opportunities through Project DGM Indonesia.
DGM is designed to improve the capacity of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (MAKL) to fully engage in ensuring forest and land rights and access and obtaining sustainable livelihood opportunities from its management.
Funding Topics
- Focus on capacity building and support of MAKL in raising their interest in land ownership. This funding topic can also be used for exploration and innovation in land tenure instruments or take advantage of opportunities provided by the government.
- Focus on building MAKL capacity to improve livelihoods and livelihoods. Through this funding issue, MAKL or CSO can propose activities to support MAKL’s efforts to develop livelihood options and / or enhance the livelihood opportunities of the MAKL
Funding Information
Applicants may submit a funding proposal with a minimum value of Rp. 381,000,000 and the maximum value is Rp.1,270,000,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Criteria for receiving DGMI-I funding:
- Communities have initiated or completed a territorial mapping or participatory process to file claims for social forestry rights and / or permits,
- Areas include vulnerable landscapes (eg peatlands, lowlands, forest-prone areas, small islands that are under pressure from industries such as mining and plantations)
- Have public support, donors, or other personal support
- Rated worthy, financially and politically.
