The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is seeking applications for funding for improving Health Security and Building International Health Regulations Core Capacities in the Republic of Uganda.

The purpose of this NOFO is to continue strengthening Uganda’s capacities for rapid detection and effective and efficient response to health threats, and evidence-based prevention for the spread of epidemic-prone human and zoonotic diseases nationally and across borders, in compliance with International Health Regulations (IHR) (2005).

The focus of this NOFO is based on those gaps outlined by the 2017 Joint External Evaluation (JEE) of Uganda’s Global Health Security (GHS) capacities that still need to be addressed despite subsequent progress, including but not limited to:
