The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) / Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) is seeking applications for the Improving Mental Health and HIV/TB Service Integration (IMHSI) in South Africa under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

The goal of the NOFO is to provide support to the South African National Department of Health (NDoH) and other Government National Departments, Provincial Departments of Health (PDoH), District Health Teams, and CDC-funded District Support Partners (DSPs) to integrate primary mental health (MH) service provision and improved referral for complex MH disorders into the current HIV/TB package of services in order to improve health outcomes amongst people living with HIV (PLHIV). In this NOFO, MH encompasses common MH disorders (such as anxiety and depression), complex MH disorders (such as neurosis and psychosis), and also harmful substance use and alcohol abuse.
