DHHS-CDC: Supporting the Provision of Comprehensive HIV Testing, Treatment, Care and Support Services in the Republic of Zimbabwe under PEPFAR

USAID seeking Applications to implement DREAMS North Program (South Africa)

Deadline: 17 October 2017

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is seeking applications for its “Supporting the Provision of Comprehensive HIV Testing, Treatment, Care, and Support Services in the Republic of Zimbabwe under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

Zimbabwe’s HIV epidemic is generalized, and about 26% of the estimated 1,400,000 PLHIV are unaware of their HIV positive status. ART coverage is low at 73% for adults and 76% for pediatrics; and MTCT is still above 5%. This situation facilitates ongoing HIV transmission and opportunistic infections (OIs), increasing morbidity and mortality.

The purpose of the programme is to address the key identified gaps and increase progress towards epidemic control in Zimbabwe through direct support and the establishment of a sustainable, collaborative relationship with MOHCC.
