DHHS/ACL: Strengthening Coordinated Transportation Systems for People with Disabilities and Older Adults

Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program (US)

Deadline: 31 July 2017

Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), the Administration for Community Living (ACL) is seeking applications for its program entitled “Strengthening Coordinated Transportation Systems for People with Disabilities and Older Adults” to build upon work previously done to strengthen coordinated transportation planning and systems for persons with disabilities and older adults.

The goal of this 5-year cooperative agreement is to build upon proven models and approaches that can be used by states and communities to involve people with disabilities and older adults in the design and implementation of coordinated transportation systems that successfully make those systems responsive to the needs of these populations.

The successful applicant will continue to promote and expand the engagement of a national peer-to-peer network, further support the work of communities through the design and implementation of small grant demonstration programs, strengthen and refine evaluation and continuous improvement processes, and expand dissemination activities.
