The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking applications for its “Hearing Health Care for Adults: Improving Access and Affordability (R21)” to encourage exploratory and developmental research applications for research on hearing health care in adults in support of improving access and affordability.

The R21 activity code is intended to encourage exploratory and developmental research projects by providing support for the early and conceptual stages of these projects. These studies may lead to a breakthrough in a particular area, or to the development of novel methodologies, models, or applications that could have a major impact on studies of hearing health care.
