EASST: Seeking Proposals for 2019 Research Grant Program

The East Africa Social Science Translation (EASST) Collaborative is inviting pairs of researchers from East Africa and the CEGA affiliate network to submit proposals for its grants program to evaluate innovative interventions in health, education, economic development, energy, and other sectors.

The EASST network is comprised of researchers in Kenya, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Tanzania. EASST seeks to also make strides in Burundi and South Sudan. Example universities in the network are Makerere University, Addis Ababa University, the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC), the University of Dar es Salaam, the National University of Rwanda, Twaweza, Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA), Ethiopian Development Research Institute (EDRI), United States International University (USIU), and the Economic Policy Research Center (EPRC).

Funding Information

EASST anticipates funding a total of $240,000 during this 2019 Call for Proposals, with a maximum of $50,000 per grant.

Eligibility Criteria

Submissions must be made by at least one CEGA affiliated Principal Investigator(affiliate or grad students sponsored by affiliate) andone East African Principal Investigator.
