The Eurobodalla Shire Council is pleased to announce its Education and School Grants.
Funding available
- Primary school: $100 each
- Senior school: $200 each
- Discretionary academic: $6,000 (total funding for all grants received) – for other academic activities.
Academic activities
- Discretionary funding is for other academic activities. This could be funding for a one-off academic competition or innovation in school activities, assistance with meeting the costs of students representing the school at non-sport related activities (i.e. debating or speaking competitions).
- Discretionary funding can be allocated to a school that has applied for primary or secondary funding. Two separate applications must be completed for schools wanting to apply for 1) school and 2) discretionary funding streams.
Eligibility Criteria
Funding is open to schools, universities and education institutions.
To be eligible for funding, applicants must:
- Apply via the appropriate online application form within the advertised period
- Reside in the Eurobodalla local government area
- Have no outstanding debts to Eurobodalla Shire Council
- Sign and comply with the funding agreement accepting the conditions of funding
- Align with the priorities of Council’s Community Strategic Plan
- Meet all specific eligibility requirements and criteria in the grant's procedures and guidelines, and the Community Grants Policy:
Exclusions
Applications will not be accepted where the outcome does not support community strengthening initiatives or improve the quality of life of Eurobodalla residents.

Applications will not be accepted from the following applicants:
- Commercial or profit-making enterprises or projects
- Political parties.

Applications will not be accepted for the following purposes:
- General fundraising activities
- General shortfalls in funding by government departments
- Completed or retrospective activities/ projects
- Duplication of existing services
Assessment Criteria
Applications will be assessed on merit and are dependent on available funding. Applications must be completed during designated time period. Grants may be provided towards expenses incurred by applicants for:
- Annual School Awards Presentation
- Scholarship Award ceremonies
- Delivery of a one-off initiative to acknowledge and recognise academic achievement Recipients are required to recognise Council’s contribution and invite the Mayor or a councillor to the award ceremony.
