The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out justice alternative sentencing and restorative justice projects with relevant partners, including civil society organizations in El Salvador.

INL looks to address reducing recidivism rates with criminal offenders. Specifically, INL aims to improve community security through judicial practices to reduce juvenile recidivism.

Goal: The goal of this project is to reduce recidivism and increase public security by improving capabilities of relevant government partners, civil society, and the private sector. INL seeks to create solid foundations for a comprehensive effort to improve alternative sentencing practices and implement restorative justice projects for the affected individuals and communities.
