Applications are now open for the Ellison Education Grants Program to empower and support Washington State’s most effective, innovative and inspirational K- 12 public school teachers.
Their goal is to support lifelong achievement and success of Washington State students. They do this by providing support to educators who select and design academic enrichment curriculum for students and or professional learning experiences relevant to their current practice. The Ellison Foundation supports the classroom teacher's expertise in understanding their own professional learning needs and the needs of their students.
Funding Information
- The Ellison Foundation has awarded 66 grants and $288,000 in the last five years.
- The Ellison Foundation wishes to award at least 12 grants in the Spring of 2022 for the 2022 – 2023 school year. Grant amounts range between $1,000 and $10,000.
Eligibility Requirements
The Ellison Foundation considers applications from educators who:
- Are employed by a K-12 public school in the state of Washington.
- Are currently certified to teach in Washington State.
- Have the background and experience to complete the project successfully.
- Have the support of your school administration.
- Have direct and regular contact with students in grades K-12.
- Are willing to work in collaboration with the Ellison Foundation and share your ideas with others.
