Embassy of Canada to Algeria has announced a call for proposals for Canada Fund for Local initiatives (CFLI) 2018-19.
Priorities
For 2018-2019, the CFLI will choose projects focusing on any of the following five themes:
- Gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls
- Human dignity, covering health, education and nutrition
- Inclusive governance, including diversity, democracy and human rights
- Growth that works for everyone, including women’s economic rights and safeguarding economic gains
- Environment and climate action
Funding Information
Eligible amounts: projects between $15,000 CAD and $25,000 CAD.
Implementation of Projects
Project activities may take place between August 1st, 2018 and January 31, 2019.
Eligibility Criteria
- Non-governmental, community and not-for-profit organizations;
- Academic institutions and think-tanks;
- International, intergovernmental, multilateral and regional institutions, organizations and agencies working on local development activities;
- Municipal, regional or national government institutions or agencies working on local projects; and
- Canadian non-governmental and not-for-profit organizations that are working on development activities in cooperation with local partners.
- Funded organizations must be duly registered with the relevant authority.
