The EP-Nuffic on behalf of the Dutch government, is currently seeking applications for its Netherlands Initiative for Capacity development in Higher Education (NICHE) programme on the topic “Strengthening the capacities of Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) for enhancing the performance of the TVET education system in Kenya”.
The project will provide TVETA with the capability to ensure that Kenya has an adequate number of TVET institutions that are centrally registered and accredited and well distributed throughout Kenya.
Award Information
The funding allotted for the programme will be around EUR 200,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Dutch organisations operating in the public or the private sector on a profit-making or non-profit basis are welcome to submit a letter of intent (LOI). Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- be registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce and have their headquarters or a branch within the Netherlands
- be directly responsible for the preparation/ management/implementation of the project, i.e. not act as an intermediary
- be experienced and able to show that they have the capacity needed to manage an activity on the scale of the project in question
- be financially sound, to ensure continuity throughout the project
- propose team members who have NOT been involved in the development of the project outline
- Applicants are in any case ineligible if they are bankrupt or in the process of being wound up, if their business is administered by the courts, if they have entered into an arrangement with creditors, if their activities are suspended, or if they are involved in any other legal procedure of this type, are not eligible for this programme.
