The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced a call for proposals on 2020 Green Enterprise: Innovation for a Circular Economy.

The National Waste Prevention Programme (NWPP) is a Government of Ireland initiative led by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and funded by the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment (DCCAE).

Green Enterprise: Innovation for a Circular Economy is an initiative under the Innovation and Demonstration Pillar and is an annual funding programme. This innovation fund is specific to the policy area of the circular economy and aims to develop innovative practical applications and solutions (in new/altered products, processes, services or solutions) that prevent waste and stimulate the circular economy in priority thematic areas.

The EPA-led Green Enterprise: Innovation for a Circular Economy funding programme will provide grant-aid to demonstration type projects.

The EPA are inviting proposals in the following thematic areas:

Funding Information

The maximum amount of funding available is €100,000 per grant award. Grant aid is provided on a shared cost contribution basis, from 25% up to 95% of the total eligible project costs incurred.

Target audience

EPA is looking for innovative projects that will have a direct impact on operating environments and policy.
