EU Green Economy Partnership with the Philippines (EU-GEPP) Grant Program

Funded by the EU and implemented by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the EU Green Economy Partnership with the Philippines (GEPP) Program aims to support the Philippines’ transition towards a green economy, including a circular economy, sustainable consumption and production, reducing waste and plastic, as well as increasing energy and material efficiency and renewable energy deployment to support climate change mitigation.

Added benefits of circular economy include the reduction of the use of energy and greenhouse gas emissions, improved biodiversity and natural capital, decreased pollution levels, and climate change adaptation.

The Green LGUs Project contributes to and aims to enhance the capacities and practices of LGUs on circular waste economy in collaboration with private and civil society organizations, with focus on Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) groups.
