The EU-funded MedFilm4all project has launched its first call for proposals to widen the audience and the access to films tackling sensitive issues, in particular gender. The specific objective is to increase the production, the diffusion and accessibility of audio-visual productions promoting social and gender issues and to improve the exchange and network between civil society organisations and film industry actors.
MedFilm For All will support the beneficiaries of the grants during the implementation of the projects by providing capacity building activities and continuous coaching.
The present Call for Proposal is coherent with objectives stated by EU funded MedFilm programme and in particular those related to Support the audience development for films tackling social issues including gender issues.
Grant Information
- The indicative amount available for the Action is EUR 984,000.00.
- Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between minimum EUR 70,000.00 and maximum EUR 82.000, with an average grant size of EUR 76,000.00.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible, applications must comply with the following conditions:
- Applications must involve a minimum of two partners and a maximum of three partners: one of the partners shall act as lead applicant and the other(s) as co-applicant(s). To be noted that they accept and encourage applications from multi-country projects;
- Applicant organizations have to be established in one of the 7 eligible countries (Morocco, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, oPt, Tunisia and Libya). Organizations from Libya will however only be eligible to apply as a partner organization in multi-country projects;
- Applicants must be legally registered organizations i.e. non-profit organisations (such as civil society organizations/non-governmental organizations), local authorities, cultural/educational institutions or no-profit film industry actors.
- Applicants must be local NGOs (non-governmental organizations) and not INGOs (international non-governmental organizations);
- Lead applicants must be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the project proposal with their partners, not acting as an intermediary;
- Lead applicants must have a valid bank account registered under their legal name.
- Applicants must not already be receiving funds from other EU funded projects for the same action.
