The European Commission is currently accepting proposals for a programme entitled “Flood recovery-Housing Interventions” with an aim to support the post flood recovery.
The programme is divided into two lots:
- LOT 1: Republika Srpska and Brcko District (EUR 6,800,000.00)
- LOT 2: Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUR 5,700, 000.00)
Priorities
- Identification of hazardous buildings and structures which 1) risk collapsing; and 2) are in areas at risk of landslides.
- Detailed identification and consolidation of information on all damages and related losses to the housing, prepared by the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Establishment of a state managed coordination mechanism to assure that donations are allocated to the priority areas.
- Development of specific subprojects for the repair of houses.
- Approval by donors and/or the State and/or the Entities.
- Implementation of subprojects.
- Monitoring at State, Entity and/or Municipal levels.
Size of Grants
Any grant requested under this Call for Proposals must fall within the following maximum amounts:
- LOT 1: maximum amount: EUR 6,800,000
- LOT 2 : maximum amount: EUR 5,700,000
Location
Actions must take place in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Duration
The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 24 months nor exceed 36 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must:
- be a legal person and
- non-profit-making and
- be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organisation, public sector operator, local authority, international (inter-governmental) organisation as defined by Article 43 of the Rules of application of the EU Financial Regulation and
- be effectively established in one of the following eligible countries: a Member State of the European Union or Beneficiaries listed in the Annex I of the IPA II or European Economic Area or Partner countries and territories covered by ENI Instrument and
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
- Potential applicants may not participate in calls for proposals or be awarded grants if they are in any of the situations.
- The lead applicant must declare that the lead applicant himself, the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies) are not in any of these situations.
- The lead applicant may act individually or with co-applicant(s).
