The Foundation Remembrance, Responsibility and Future (EVZ Foundation) has announced the applications for exhibitions on the history of National Socialism from the perspective of the victims.
The victims’ perspective on the crimes of National Socialism is important, especially in the present, when the culture of remembrance is being reshaped. They would therefore like to support exhibition projects and collection projects for exhibitions with a national impact. These should be created on a participatory basis with the survivors of National Socialism and their descendants as well as communities still affected by discrimination today. The aim is to enable new perspectives on persecution, resistance, support, standing by and looking away during National Socialism, and in this way raise awareness to the relevance of history for the present.
Objectives
- Promotion of exhibition projects or Collection projects for exhibitions that the sources and objects considered and the resulting narratives have so far had little or no presence in the culture of remembrance are. You can so the perspective of the victims and taking in victims of Nazi injustice;
- Promotion of museum educational Methods and museum stagings that are apt to renewed interest in history of persecution under National Socialism and thus new ways of imparting knowledge tread;

Who is sponsored?
- Grant recipients can private non-profit and public organizations and be institutions.

Eligibility Criteria
The projects
- are dedicated to the lore of the various Victim groups and here especially those who have so far been little public awareness;

- address the connections between the past and the present and raise awareness of them historical continuities;

- have a nationwide reach;
- are sustainable beyond the funding period and effective.
