The Administration for Community Living (ACL) is currently accepting applications for the Field Initiated Projects Program to generate new knowledge through research or to develop methods, procedures, and rehabilitation technologies that maximize the full inclusion and integration into society, employment, independent living, family support, and economic and self-sufficiency of people with disabilities, especially people with the highest support needs.

In carrying out a research activity under a FI Projects research grant, a grantee must identify one or more hypotheses or research questions and, based on the hypotheses or research questions identified, perform an intensive, systematic study directed toward producing:

Invitational Priorities

In FY 2022, there are two invitational priorities of interest to the agency. National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) does not give applications that address either of these invitational priorities a competitive or absolute preference over other applications.
